Maintenance
600 miles had the required service done with a cost of just over 200 dollars
3,000 miles I checked the oil and brakes and other stuff the 3000 mile check requires. No cost.
3,500 miles I replaced the stock Pilot Sport rear with a Heidenau K58. Did the wheel removal myself so the cost to have the new tire put on the rim and balanced was $23.00 and the tire itself was around 67 dollars so total cost around $100.00
Just went over 5000 miles so I will be adding more soon.
6000 mile service. All checks good. $160.00 Also changed out the K58 rear tire and replaced it with a K61. Only got 2500 miles out of the K58.

Comment by Smrf on January 5, 2009 at 12:52am - Your rear tire getting changed out at 3500 was it due to wear or just because of the winter season? I just had mine changed out on Saturday at 2650 miles. I know I created some premature wear during a trial/error with a hitch mounted accessory that dug into my rear tire and figured it took a few hundred miles off the tire early.

I have a 3 week old Piaggio MP3 400. My first 1,000 KM (600 mile) service is booked in for Tuesday (13th Jan) I was quoted AU$185.00 (aprox US$130.00). Happy riding all. Regards Ray

- Not up to 6K yet but my 600 mile service cost me $215 so your price from your shop sounds great to me. Enjoy your scoot!

- Yeah that is a good price for your 600 mile service. I will be getting my 6000 mile service in the next 30 days or so and I will report here what the cost was and what was replaced.
