Rick here e-mailing to see if you have come up with a set of mod foot pegs yet? Also I have updated to the MP3 500 and I truly love the acceleration that I get.
Wish you could have made it to Chattanooga. It was a great trip. Did the radio work out for you? I mostly plug my MP3 player into the input. I had an old Ipod with a hard drive. It lasted about 45 min on the road and then crashed. I picked up a Zune with a flash drive, works great.
So glad i am too, I see on the latest post, the 'steering notch' one, the great Wayneb, JimC, and SteveO combo is already on to their next victim...apparently they've decided to run each person off one at a time and are still clueless about how to act on forums. Oh well...I'll be fiddling with some stuff on here soon enough :D, getting pics and stuff up..
"Would love to hear your reasons for why you may upgrade." My commute to & from work is a 45 minute trip, freeway all the way, up & down hills. And here in San Diego county the freeways are packed with people going an average of 80 mph. Not that I want to go that fast, but I would like the extra power to get out of the way of something quicker if necessary. I'm also hoping the 500 wouldnt get buffetted so much by the wind and backdrafts of semis.
I see you're on Modern Vespa. What are your aspirations for this site that aren't possible there?

GoodDay John,
Rick Blalock here and I am very glad to be apart of the group I hope to see many people join very soon. I am e-mailing you to see if you have put foot pegs on your mp3 and if so where did you purchase them because I would like to put them on the rider and passenger area as well.
Please e-mail me back if you know anything that may help me in this area.
If you didn't/couldn't/wouldn't make it to Amerivespa 2009 in Los Gatos, CA you missed out on a great rally with awesome scooter enthusiasts from around the world and some really great vendors.
It was a pleasure to meet the minds and owners behind http://genuinecoolass.com/ Brian and Jan are as awesome in person as they are behind the scenes of their company making these great covers to keep our asses covered!!

Thought it may be interesting to start a log of what maintenance I have done and will do for my 250. So far it has been relatively normal I guess.
600 miles had the required service done with a cost of just over 200 dollars
3,000 miles I checked the oil and brakes and other stuff the 3000 mile check requires. No cost.
3,500 miles I replaced the stock Pilot Sport rear with a Heidenau K58. Did the wheel removal myself so the cost to have the new tire put on the rim and balanced was $23.00 and t… Continue
...gas prices were rising and I started to think that maybe I should start looking for a motorcycle to relieve the 17mpg money siphon my truck was becoming. My wife was not real fond of the idea of a motorcycle so I started looking at alternatives. Diesels, 3 wheelers, and even electric cars were some of my Google searches but none of the results were very interesting.
While immersed in Google world, through some undoubtedly complex word combination search, I happened on a picture of a strange… Continue

Yes it sure is, although I am thinking about upgrading to the 500.
